Photo Challenge — Reflect This - Day Five

Reflect this is hosted by Quilly - this week only

Old pictures new discovered through the current photo challenge. This is one window showing a ship-in-bottle collection, which belonged to Nobel Prize winner Pablo Neruda, a Chilean poet. I visited one of his (beach) houses last January in Chile and I was fascinated by his countless collections! I understood then why he needed so many houses...! These ships face the Pacific Ocean and the reflection you see is from a boat's mast and bells. If you are wondering about them, just look at the picture below:

Saddened by the tragic airplane crash in Madrid...

  1. Very nice picture, but such a collection !! at least my 450 and something cats don't take that much space !
I heard about this tragedy shortly after it happened and we watched TV yesterday night. Isn't it terrible ! Of course Belgians were or are worried that some of them were in the plane.

  3. A great shot...and I was surprised to see the actual position of each in relation to each other. In your reflection they seemed closer and on more of a straight line. Interesting!

Yes, I heard about the plane crash. So many lives lost, way too early in their life.

  7. He sounds like he was an avid hoarder and collector of things :) I wonder if surrounding himself with things like these gave him inspiration?

  12. This is a very interesting post. I like the way you not only showed the reflection in the photo, but also the second photo that shows what caused the reflection in the first. If you look closely there's even reflections in that second photo.
