  1. I don't think I have ever tasted Quince, Mar....I LOVE this picture. I have to Google to see what the ripe ones look like.
Hope you have a lovely weekend, my dear.

  3. You don't have to go all the way over to Chile to get a picture of a quince, they grow in Belgium too! LOL! I love the picture though!

  4. As my "compatriote" says, they even grow in Belgium and I even have some in my frontyard ! But not now of course.

  5. Mum and Dad have a quince tree in the garden ... not that they ever do anything with them - I love membrillo in Spain with a chunk of manchego and a glass of something cold on a sunny terrace.

Costa Brava bound next Saturday morning - what's the weather been like?

  7. Well, I'm sure glad YOU posted it -- I don't believe I could have come up with a Quince if my entire life depended upon it! I was doing good to bake quiche in time!!! (it was CRAB quiche by the way...) So... do Quince taste like pears?

  9. I have seen a Quince tree! It was in small town Orofino, Idaho. The owner of the tree had just given me a slice of homemade bread with Quince jelly. The jelly wasn't horrible, but I must say I would have enjoyed the bread more without it.

Good Q -- I never would have thought of it.
