Have you ever...

... heard of paresthesia?? I hadn't until I was diagnosed with it on Saturday, it can be a minor thing but also many things, including carpal tunnel syndrome... I just hope those anti-inflammatory drugs work within the prescribed week so that I can close the chapter. Otherwise I will have to undergo many tests... Paresthesia is affecting my right arm/hand and it makes the keyboard feel evil, now you know why you haven't seen me around :(

  1. Oh no! Such bad news. I know how it is, I've had something similar, probably because of my Fibromyalgia or thyroid problem. A mild one, tickling my shoulder and upper arm very annoying - especially when going to sleep...

I do hope it will be sorted out faster than fast! Or I'll come and jump on it to make it wake up ;-)

I had a link especially for you in my post today :-)

  3. Many computers have a voice recognition system built into them, if you look around in control panel, there is something called speech, and in there is a system that you can use to talk to your computer rather than type...when I had Carpal Tunnel I had to rest it rest it rest it, this may help???

    Good luck.

  4. Oh I am so sorry you have been having such a problem. I will say a prayer for you that the inti-inflammatory works for you.
Take good care of yourself and give it lots of rest.
A nice hand massage might feel good with some lotion. then wrap warm towels around and it feels wonderful.

    Hugs,

  6. Oh dear! Sometimes a simple change of chair at your computer desk helps... You might be pinching a nerve or something.

I have to change the height of my chair once in a while.

    Feel better!!

  7. I had a pinched ulnar nerve in my elbow and it traveled down to my finger tips. I've had surgery to release the nerve, but occasionally it causes me a lot of pain. Get well quickly!!!

  11. Oh no! I hope your meds work soon. I find it odd how our bodies are coming down with all these weird new illnesses. Wonder what's up.

  12. uggh, never heard of it, but it sounds unpleasant. I read the wikipedia article and got to thinking, if we edit the article to say that it's delightful like a day in spring, will that feel better? :)

  19. Ooohh, that doesn't sound nice at all. I don't blame you for staying away from the keyboard. I hope they can fix it. I love your skinny shot and your son's goggles btw!

  20. I know the feeling, I have carpal tunnel and I am wearing a wrist brace which is definitely interfering with my laptop usage - not to mention making writing difficult.

Here's to a quick relief and long term healing...

  22. In the "For What It's Worth Department": My carpel tunnel is said to be "temporary" due to low Thyroid sleep meds I'm being tapered off of. It has improved from Forearm to just the fingers now.

  24. Never heard about it. But as you described it: Not a great state of the body.
I think you then, from time, feel helpless and stupid. Like my eyes. Unseen slant-eyed. Causes me (the last 15 months only), problems to find the right key to press when writing. It's really embarassing
