ar·chi·tec·ture –noun 1. the profession of designing buildings, open areas, communities, and other artificial constructions and environments, usually with some regard to aesthetic effect. Architecture often includes design or selection of furnishings and decorations, supervision of construction work, and the examination, restoration, or remodeling of existing buildings.
This is a very, very difficult theme because there is nothing worse for a Libra like me than having to make a decision... so many pictures, so many beautiful constructions... It gave me a chance to review many old pictures, though. And finally here are my pics for today's theme: a beautiful staircase as seen from different perspective. It is the very same object but it looks totally different depending on your point of view, just like most things in life... First looking up, being able to see a wonderful glass decoration:
and now looking down, where you can also see the reception desk. This is a hotel in Genova, Italy, I last visited in july 06 and yes: they have elevators as well!
Note: I am posting early and I will be late visiting since I am off to a wedding on saturday at this place, which seems to be an interesting example of architecture as well .
Wow! Amazing stairway! Just beautiful... Hope you're having fun at the wedding :)

ReplyDeleteVery nice and stunning pictures! First the beautiful blue in the glass windows looking up and then the rich looking red carpet in the stairs going down!
ReplyDeleteYes, I found I had a lot to choose from too this week, and being Libra too, I might have found myself doing a slideshow but instead I grabbed on to one and then went with it. It not only turned into a SPH but then Thursday Thirteen was inspired from it as well! LOL!
It's fun to look things up on the internet to support something you are going to post.
Hope the wedding was lots of fun!
