day 20: over the Andes

These pics are a year old but I might have new ones in january if I get a seat at the right side, ha! I grew up having the mountains as a protective wall, I truly missed them when I moved away since I didn't go to Switzerland :)

I have guest photographers for today's post. The pictures of the mountains below are from Mr 18, who didn't have as clear weather conditions as I did for yesterday's post. These pictures of the Andes are taken on spring as opposite to yesterday's pics of the Alps taken not long ago, at the end of summer .
I am not sure about this lake but it sure looks different!

Click to enlarge, you'll see the "river" (blogger didn't want to upload it any larger...)

I love this view of the different heights!

And last, but not least, here is my darling niece (8 yo) pictured two weeks ago while on a field trip to the the Chilean Andes, near Santiago. So you see what the mountains look like right now in springtime. This is my sister's contribution to today's post : sunshine!

Scroll down for some stats about mountain peaks (yesterday's post) because I just love facts! Find the list of peaks by prominence here .

Tomorrow: Our charming Lady of the Hill's meme: Things I have never done! :) You know you want to read it. You really do!

  2. the Andes look amazing!! made me think of the plane crash you mentioned last week, back in the 70s. As beautiful as the Andes look, can't imagine how the survivors made it out!
