automobile (s)

This pic might not exactly meet the assignment's technical requirements but it is one of my favorites under this theme!! Seen at the Ramblas, that is Barcelona's main pedestrian boulevard. Fred Flinstone was most likely having a cup of coffee at a local café. Too bad I missed him! but I could almost hear :"Wilmaaaaa"!!

And this is a minimalist version of an automobile, perfect to run errands in the city : a Smart "fortwo" (DaimlerChrysler, it can reach 130km/h or some 70mph)

One of its cutest features is the possibility to park facing the street! a big plus in a crowded European city. Here is one I pictured in Hamburg, proudly carrying the German flag because of the World Cup. Germany qualified yesterday for the semi-finals, go Germany! yes, I am a little biased here...

  3. I think the little German car is very cute and since it's so small it's great for parking but I wouldn't want to be in it in an accident.

  7. I can't imagine driving something that small on the same roads with Suburbans, Hummers, etc.... If you get in a wreck, you don't have a prayer!

Now the Flintstone's car.... that's cool.....

  22. That little german car is supposed to go on sale here in 2008, I forgot who is going to make it. It gets 70 mpg! If only it had room for 2 Britax car seats, but it doesn't look like it. And I love the flinstones car, great shot!

  24. Yabba dabba doooo!! Love the Flintstone car!! Too Cute!

As for the little bitty car, I know that it's efficient and easy to park and all that, but I think it would be squashed like a bug in an accident! Scary!
