This pic might not exactly meet the assignment's technical requirements but it is one of my favorites under this theme!! Seen at the Ramblas, that is Barcelona's main pedestrian boulevard. Fred Flinstone was most likely having a cup of coffee at a local café. Too bad I missed him! but I could almost hear :"Wilmaaaaa"!!
And this is a minimalist version of an automobile, perfect to run errands in the city : a Smart "fortwo" (DaimlerChrysler, it can reach 130km/h or some 70mph)
One of its cutest features is the possibility to park facing the street! a big plus in a crowded European city. Here is one I pictured in Hamburg, proudly carrying the German flag because of the World Cup. Germany qualified yesterday for the semi-finals, go Germany! yes, I am a little biased here...

Little cars are so cute. Great photos!!! Take care. Dani
ReplyDeleteI must admit that I favour Fred Flintstones car... That is just so cool!
ReplyDeleteI think the little German car is very cute and since it's so small it's great for parking but I wouldn't want to be in it in an accident.
ReplyDeleteLove those little cars!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
oooh I LOVE those SmartCars!!! They'll be available in the US in 2007, and I'm getting me one!
ReplyDeleteI played :-)
I can't imagine driving something that small on the same roads with Suburbans, Hummers, etc.... If you get in a wreck, you don't have a prayer!
ReplyDeleteNow the Flintstone's car.... that's cool.....
Great shots. Love Fred's car. Wouldn't that be a hoot.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my place.
Pam
Hey what a great pic, I need one of those. I'm always having problems parking in our Espace. Ideal!
ReplyDeleteThnx for visiting mine,
Mandy

ReplyDeleteWe have those smart cars here in Canada. They are so small and cute. I like the Fred Flintstone car.
ReplyDeleteMy photo is up (in my "museum of me" blog).
Look at that...parking face front. That is super cute! And the Flintstone mobile looks like it just walked off the movie set, because its so perfect.
ReplyDeleteMar--I love each and every ONE of this photos! That would be ideal parking for anywhere in the USA. Wish the Americans would appreciate smaller cars as y'all do!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos.
WARNING: Mine is posted.
I love it! These are my favorite :)
ReplyDeleteLOve BOTH photo's! I've seen those Smart Cars. I think everyone will be driving them soon with gas prices like this.
ReplyDeleteI love it... You know someone had to put in the time and energy to build that Flintstones car. Were there any frat houses nearby?
ReplyDeleteGreat choices!
cute choices!!! we were just talking about those little cars-
ReplyDeleteFun fun photos.
ReplyDeleteI love the Flintstone car!!
Totally meet the "requirment" - Remember the requirements? There isn't any =)
I love that little car! Great photots!
ReplyDeleteThat little german car is supposed to go on sale here in 2008, I forgot who is going to make it. It gets 70 mpg! If only it had room for 2 Britax car seats, but it doesn't look like it. And I love the flinstones car, great shot!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture! Unfortunately I never see any of those around here :)
ReplyDeleteYabba dabba doooo!! Love the Flintstone car!! Too Cute!
ReplyDeleteAs for the little bitty car, I know that it's efficient and easy to park and all that, but I think it would be squashed like a bug in an accident! Scary!
Enjoyed your submission for this weeks theme...
ReplyDeleteYou know, when I was in Germany 2 years ago, I saw the Smart cars for the first time. Great to get around in the tiny streets of Europe...
I played this week as well...
We'll all be drivin the fred flintstone one soon if they don't come up with a new alternative for gas! LOL!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
mar now that's pretty cool. If this assignment would have been after canada day I could have posted at least 10 super cool cars I took during the parade today. Awesome shots. :) Thanks for the visit.
ReplyDeleteLove the flintstones car..that other one is a front seat on wheels. Too funny. I played too stacie
ReplyDeleteGreat car pictures. I love the Fred Flintstone one.

ReplyDeleteThe Flintstone car is awesome.

ReplyDeleteOnly a few SMART CARS in the USA and they are really here illegally. Our government can be such a pain. I would love to have one to drive. I have always loved small cars. The micro are even better.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the pictures. When I lived in Portugal we went to Spain on vacation. I went to Marbella and it was just beautiful, loved it :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by my blog :)
One of those little cars would be perfect for running around my small town. I have to agree with Michele, I would worry about safety in it because of its size.
ReplyDeleteWow, love both of the pictures. You always have the best pictures Mar!
ReplyDeleteyou could've stole the bedrock mobile. :) All you needed was foot power!
