V is for...

ventana which means w i n d o w in Spanish. This particular one was found in France, where there is a tiny Santa Claus  village near Geneva open all year 'round: Le Hameau du Père Noël.  French site is here, facebook site is here .

  7. One of the things I remember from HS French is I open the window, in the first lesson, and venetre (or something like it) was window!

  13. In the Philippines, we have so many words of spanish origin,. We called window Bintana, which is derived from Ventana. Very clever choice!
