plastic fantastic

A little crocheted plastic thingy , made out of plarn (plastic yarn or yarn made out of plastic bags), a recycling idea I learned through blogging. Quickly done in a few minutes specially for the theme, using a plastic crochet hook (8mm) and placed over my plastic shopping bag. Which means everything on this picture is made out of plastic! And for once I did something with my very ungifted little hands and it even got posted. I am pleased :)

  12. This is so clever! I love it! I have so many of those bags, that making other bags out of them for marketing seems the perfect solution! I've bookmarked this so I can come back and investigate further. Thank you!

I've got mine up now, too, if you have time to visit.

  23. What a great idea ! but what is it ?? A keyholder or a cover ?
It seems to work rather quick so that's something for me. If I crochet a sweater for Mr. Gattino ? what do you think ? Platic bags I have enough !

  24. I don't know that I would care for the skivvies made from plarn. I have been considering making a parn rug for the kitchen door. We keep our shoes out there and I'd like them off the ground, but on something that can handle getting rain splashed.

I think you did an awesome and original job with the theme. Take a bow!

  38. And what do you plan to make with this..... I guess it wouldn't work well for a pot holder... it would melt if it got too hot. It is cute though... and how talented to be able to crochet. Mine is up here.
