I am not going very far! I am only crossing the border and going to visit our neighbors, the French, to drink all their wine enjoy the French Alps in the summer. I will be back before the end of the month. Expected hightlights of this vacation?. The first one is taking place right away as I will be meeting my charming French blog friend Claudie to·mor·row in Marseille!! Voilà!!! how is that for a great starter??? (pictures of Marseille taken a year ago can be found here)

The second event takes place next week since I will be watching the Tour de France live on Tuesday, July 17th ( that's stage 9 - Val-d’Isère - Briancon 159.5 km). Don't miss it! I will be waving hello to you , and you, and every single one of you! watch carefully because I might be on your tv screen for about a 0.000000007th of a second. If you hear Col de Galibier and Col de Telegraph (see map) know that I am somewhere in between and I will tell all about it when I get back.

I have to go now. Until then, take good care of yourselves, be happy, and keep the dust off my blog. Almost forgot: gimme some loving = leave a comment!

  10. I remember being in Paris for the Tour de France when I was in my twenties, with one of my best friends, and we were so mad some of the streets were closed. "What are all these bikes doing here, so that we can't get in the stores?" we asked one another. Two dumb Americans...it's lucky we're still alive.
