This is an airplane window view of the Andes in summertime (January) and particularly of the mighty Aconcagua mountain. At 6,962 metres (22,841 ft) it is the highest mountain in the Americas, and the highest mountain outside Asia. Not an award winning picture, I am aware of that, but I thought it would be interesting to share here... From my archives for ABC Wednesday

Lovely shot and interesting details. The Andes always fascinates me. Followed you on Pinterest, by the way. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing. It is always so exciting to fly high over mountains and deep valleys. I also have a feeling of sadness when I leave my children behind and have to go back to the Netherlands, even if I have wonderful friends and neighbours here.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
