Here are my pictures from one evening at the Palau de la Musica Catalana (Palace of Catalan Music, a concert hall designed in the Catalan modernisme style by the architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner and built between 1905 and 1908 in Barcelona), as promised in the prior post... Pictures inside the concert hall are officially not allowed... Which is not an excuse for the poor quality of my shots, it only explains the hurry! Probably a tiny tripod - the guy next to me had one!- would have helped for better shots... First the ceiling, of which you have a better (borrowed) shot in the prior post:
The details are truly amazing. Here are additional shots which you shouldn't click to enlarge because of the quality of the pictures. See? I told you so!! But it is the way I remember the concert hall.
This is a view of one side of the stage:
which would change colors too:
And finally a quick view of the façade before going home. The façade is being renovated and therefore it is behind glass, hosting different giant figures but I don't know why! It was a lovely evening with bossa nova tunes!
Wow ! the pictures came out real good ! it's not so easy to take pictures in a show or opera. What a beautiful decoration !
