O is for offshore
ABC Wednesday
I am very occupied nowadays but my option was to participate anyways. That explains this old picture which has been seen here for another occasion, but it is current again, since it is the end of October. Oh! yes, it has been manipulated to add a little goodie bag... with an orange decoration!
PS: This was taken at my local beach, this is the Med Sea.

N is for numbers
ABC Wednesday
Numbers, we need them!! featured here is the number two (lower right) labeling one of the entrances to Seville's bullring (Plaza de Toros) , La Maestranza, which was constructed over the late-17th and 18th centuries and is one of the most famous venues in all of Spain to take in a bullfight. Again, I was here only to admire its baroque facade, painted white with yellow trim, and not to actually see an event, I couldn't ever watch a bullfight... Never!
Update after the 12th comment: you bloggers are brilliant! I didn't see a face until you mentioned that!!

cotton ball
SkyWatch
Chilean sky. Like the one the rescued Chilean miners were able to see yesterday afer almost 70 days of being trapped. The media coverage reached an incredible number of people, did you watch part of the rescue? The little cloud looks like a cotton ball, it sure looks like hope too. (Update: I took this picture during one of my visits to Chile, my country of birth)

M is for me and myself...
M is for Mar, who happens to be me. And a mirror view of the The Giralda, the bell tower of the Cathedral of Seville. The image was digitally manipulated, but just a bit, just for fun... For more M's visit ABC Wednesday..

Columbus Day
Blue skies for Blue Monday
Tomorrow is a national holiday in Spain, celebrating the anniversary of Christopher Columbus's arrival in the Americas, specifically the Bahamas, which occurred on October 12, 1492. Which makes the current one a wonderful short week!
This is the Columbus monument in Seville (see "1492" on top?), more precisely in the Murillo Gardens. A picture of the entire monument can be seen here.

not a cloud in the sky
A sight of Seville's bullring , La Maestranza, the oldest one in Spain. Not my favorite Spanish tradition but I love the architecture.
Today, Oct. 7th, is my birthday, please have a piece of cake while you are here. Cheers!

L is for lighting
Lighting ( the deliberate application of light to achieve some aesthetic or practical effect) enhances two of Seville's landmarks: the Gold Tower up front next to the Guadalquivir river, and the Giralda (the bell tower of the Cathedral of Seville). From my short trip last weekend.

letters
Letters... remember them? they needed postage. Here's a circular stamp, which came with a postcard from a coworker on holidays, many years ago.
