Thirteen Things


1. I have been in Spain for 12 years now. I live in a quiet outskirt of Barcelona with other 50,000 people.
2. Among them we have Ronaldinho, the Brazilian soccer player of FC Barcelona and Lorenzo Quinn, sculptor, Anthony Quinn's son (one of his many children!). That's about it for the "People" section of this post...
3. Barcelona has 1.5 million inhabitants but this number increases to more than 4 million if all outlying areas are included.
4. I have always lived in "million" cities, except for the time I lived in the US, some college years.
5. I see the Mediterranean Sea every day.
6. In fact it takes me less than 15 minutes to walk down to the beach.
7. The problem is to walk back up afterwards.
8. I seldom drive to go downtown Barcelona.
9. I take the train.
10. Which brings me to the heart of the city in 25 min.
11. And for less than 1 euro one-way. In price included is also Nr. 12.
